Please read the following announcement from lovely charity Learn2Love2Read:
For several years, local literacy charity, Learn to Love to Read, has been running early literacy classes in school for parents with younger children. These sessions have been a wonderful way for parents to help their toddlers be ready to learn to read when they start school.
Because of Covid-19, we have not been able to run these popular classes over the past year. So, we are excited that Learn to Love to Read is now offering these classes again to our school families in a new way. The classes will run online and are open to parents with a child aged 2 to 4 years.
Each session will focus on four activities – chatting with your child, playing together, singing and enjoying books. There will be three sessions next term, a month apart. Before each session you will be sent a book and activity pack provided by Learn to Love to Read for you to enjoy with your child at home. You will also be able to engage with Learn to Love to Read staff individually if you wish, to ask questions and get new ideas.
