We have 2 vacancies for parent governors at West Hill Primary School effective immediately. If you have an interest in education, have time, energy and enthusiasm, and a desire to be involved in your child’s school, you would be an ideal candidate.

Parents who work at the school are restricted from standing as parent governors. All new governors are given help and advice by the other members of the governing body. The council also puts on a programme of training for newly appointed governors to support them in their new role.

If you would like to find out more about being a parent governor, please speak to either of us by Friday 14th October 2022 to arrange a time to meet with us for an informal discussion. Alternatively, please complete the attached nomination form. Election statements should be no more that 200 words long. All nominations must be seconded by a parent/guardian of a child attending the school and returned to the school office by Friday 14th October 2022.

Being a parent governor is a demanding and responsible role. It is also a very rewarding experience and an opportunity to acquire new skills and influence the future of West Hill Primary School.

Yours sincerely,

Lisa Carmen & Anna Healy
Co-Headteachers
