It’s here again, the opportunity to come together to think about and talk about the internet. This is particularly important now as we use the internet more widely in our home learning and play.
We shall think about:

  • How we use the internet safely
  • How to check information we see on the internet
  • How to work out how to trust the information we receive
  • How to understand adverts and ‘posts’ we see online
All pupils from Early Years to Year 6 will have opportunities for online teaching and learning for Safer Internet Day on the 9th February. Teacher’s lessons and whole school assemblies will be focussing upon the reliability of the internet.
We will be Detectives; learning the skills to understand the impact of influence, persuasion and manipulation and how it can have an impact upon young people’s decisions, opinions and what they share online.
Early Years and KS1 will have the help of Detective Digi Duck on the day to support their understanding https://www.childnet.com/resources/digiduck-stories click here to find out more.
