Start of Day

The school day starts at 8.50. The school day starts with a ‘soft start’. The doors to the school open at 8.45 and children make their own way to their classroom. The class teachers welcome the children into their classroom and there is an opportunity to take part in early work whilst the register is being taken. Lessons start at 9.00.

There is a whole school assembly twice a week. On Mondays the whole school comes together for a ‘value of the month assembly’. On Fridays there is the opportunity for the whole school to celebrate the children who are ‘stars of the week’.

House Competition

The school is divided into four different coloured ‘houses.’ Children earn house points for outstanding effort, attitudes, behaviour or achievement. The winning house is announced each week in the celebration assembly. Children are able to collect their house points and exchange them for prizes at different points in the year.
