Learning Resources

We are so lucky at West Hill to have lots of space. We have four playgrounds, three halls and even a static double decker bus! Nursery and Reception have a playground just for them and they also enjoy their own outside classroom.

Our ground floor hall is our Creative Hub which classes use all year round to practise singing, recorder and create amazing artwork which can then be displayed in this specially designed space. Our Creative Hub also has special booths for small groups to work in and giant beanbags for relaxed reading or viewing. This space is also home for our school library.

Our middle hall is used for lunches, school productions and concerts and assemblies as well as indoor PE lessons or intrasport competitions.

Our top hall is also used for PE lessons and assemblies and also hosts visitors such as Big Foot Arts Education for workshops and performances. These spaces are very flexible for us and enable us to create a wealth of experiences for our pupils.

We are very lucky to have a lot of classroom space too which has enabled us to create a wonderful music room on our top floor as well as a specialised Computing Suite on our first floor. This is in addition to sixty iPads and virtual reality kits which are used throughout the school grounds.

We use our double decker bus for lessons for whole classes as well as small groups and also at lunchtimes to support nurture activities. The downstairs has tables and chairs whilst the upper deck is an open space with soft seating and audio, which gives us a little more flexibility in how we use the space depending on the lesson.
