Great news! Summer Reading Challenge has started at Wandsworth Town Library!
Main Challenge- Ages 4 – 11 years
Visit 1: Beginning of challenge/summer
• Register for the challenge by filling out the card.
• Pick up Wild World Heroes map, book mark, crib sheet on challenge instructions/any events we might have/etc and a paper book review to fill out and return at the end of the summer.
• Pick 6 books to read throughout summer. Obviously, we would prefer if they borrow more books.
• Can also pick up paper book review sheet and activities to fill out and return at end of summer
Visit 2: End of summer/challenge
• Submit finished book log and optional book review to a member of staff
o Regret we won’t be able to spend much time discussing the books this year to prevent queueing and overcrowding
• Receive bundle of all stickers, prizes and medal together to take home.
School visit: Autumn
• Hopefully, we will be able to visit schools for certificate assemblies as usual in the autumn
• If not, we can send blank or completed certificates to schools for their own assemblies.
Mini Challenge – Under 4
Visit 1: Beginning of challenge/summer
• Register for the challenge.
• Give Mini Challenge booklet and crib sheet on challenge instructions/any events we might have/etc.
• Also give a sheet of six stickers; carers can give to child throughout summer as they read six books
• Pick 6 books to read throughout summer
• Can also pick up paper book review sheet and activities to fill out and return at end of summer
Visit 2: End of summer/challenge
• Submit finished book log and optional book review to a member of staff
o Regret we won’t be able to spend much time discussing the books this year to prevent queueing and overcrowding
• Receive certificate with hand-written name.
Teen BINGO Challenge
Visit 1: Beginning of challenge/summer
• Register for challenge.
• Give BINGO sheet
• Pick books to read throughout summer
Visit 2: End of summer/challenge
• Submit finished book BINGO
• Select a book proof/other prize depending on what branch has available
